“My Little Girl”

_____

Gotta hold on easy as I let you go.

Gonna tell you how much I love you, though you think you already know.

I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm.

You’ve had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born.

_____

You’re beautiful baby from the outside in.

Chase your dreams but always know the road that’ll lead you home again.

Go on, take on this whole world.

But to me you know you’ll always be, my little girl.

_____

When you were in trouble that crooked little smile could melt my heart of stone.

Now look at you, I’ve turned around and you’ve almost grown.

Sometimes you’re asleep I whisper “I Love You!” in the moonlight at your door.

As I walk away, I hear you say, “Daddy Love You More!”.

Today Eden turns 4 years old. The day she was born she really was the most beautiful bundle of pink in my arms. I was in love. She was a perfect baby, rarely cried, and she was so sweet and complacent. We knew that would kick us in the butt one day :) Sure enough, she turned one and she began asserting herself. Around age two she got that chipped front tooth- which originally made me cry- but now it is SO her I can’t imagine her any other way. It perfectly suits her cheeky, spunky nature. Eden is full of imagination, and in love with fairies and princesses alike. She is melt-your-heart adorable with her hair twirling around her finger and her crooked smile. I always want to remember how she will whisper to me during Bible reading ‘Mumma, I just love you so much’. I always want to remember how it feels when she comes to my office at night because she just HAD to give me one more hug and kiss before going to sleep. I want to remember the sweet sounds of her voice playing with her Barbies in her princess tent for hours on end. Her incredible love and devotion to her sister, whom she just can’t live without. Her concentration as she colors the most beautiful pictures and the adorably detailed pictures she draws me of people in her world, real or imagined. This age has been so sweet, fun, adventurous and adorable. I’m really looking forward to spending more one on one time with Eden when Kyara heads off to Grade 1 next week and I really can’t wait to see what this next year will bring for Eden!

We have been so richly blessed to have you in our family Eden, and we thank the LORD for each and every day we have with you. You bring so much love, joy and laughter into our home with your funny antics and displays of love. We totally, completely adore you! XOXO

Jordan and Maggie are anxiously awaiting the day that their baby girl makes her arrival (soon we hope!). We did their maternity session on the beach of Lake Ontario and the setting sun was beautiful! Maggie was a natural in front of the camera, and I think she looks amazing! I loved her outfit choices as well- and that she was totally willing to get into the water in her gorgeous dress!

Liam & Kailee | Together for Life {Burlington Wedding Photographer}

Saturday, May 26th, 2012

So yesterday was the big day- the day that my little sister wed the man of her dreams. it was a beautiful, warm and sunny day. Everything went according to plan and we were even on schedule pretty much all day, which is a huge feat for a family with Wieske lateness genes. I think I lost half my body weight in tears as the emotions got the best of me throughout the day. Just knowing my sister is leaving for Australia for at least 3 years this Monday made an emotional event seem 100x more cryworthy. But we all had an amazing time and Kailee and Liam looked amazing and happy, which is what it is all about. God has blessed them with a love and faith and we entrust them into His care as they make their trip back home. I wanted to share a few images quickly, so she can see something before the long trip. I only took a few images throughout the day, before the photographers arrived and later in the evening… but here’s a few of my favorites.
